PLEDGE

  • I pledge,
  • My PRAYERS,that I may experience growth and renewal in my relationship to God and to my brothers and sisters.
  • My TIME, that I may respond to human need through study, action and reflection.
  • My GIFTS, through UNITED METHODIST WOMEN, that I may share in the global ministries of the church.

PURPOSE
The organized unit of UNITED METHODIST WOMEN shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

CIRCLES
The UMW is divided into small groups known as circles. The meeting times vary so that a woman can choose the best time for her. St. Mark's has three circles:

Mary Reid meets the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am in the Christian Fellowship room. The Chairperson is Monica Sprague.

Vera Hodge meets the first Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the church parlor. If the first Monday falls on a Holiday then Vera Hodge Circle will meet the Second Monday. The Vera Hodge circle will provide babysitting during their meeting time if requested. The Chairperson is Crystal Williams.

Manie Hamilton meets the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in member's homes. The Chairperson is Twyla Day.

The circle's do not meet during the month's of July & August. For the meetings in June and December they go out to eat.
